Though our country has been divided into "Red" and "Blue" states, know that every color imaginable has the potential to be what we are purposed to be. Use the "white" in the flag as the clean slate to begin writing a new chapter in history.
As educators, we must learn how to control anger so that we can positively influence the students that we are teaching. If we find ourselves displaying anger, attitudes and grudges just like the children do, there will be no respect, thus it is just like having a classroom with no adult supervision. Part of demanding respect is through POSITIVE ACTION. Verbally demanding respect is on the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to getting positive results, simply because there is too much "preaching" involved. We are TEACHERS, not preachers. We have to display the positive behaviors that we want our students to display. We must SHOW them AND tell them.
